Minot Skyrockets News Release

Minot, ND - April 10, 2007 - With the basketball season over in Minot, the Skyrockets players have returned to their respective homes but some weren't there for long. Two players from the Skyrockets roster have signed with overseas teams.

Guard Desmond Ferguson has signed with the Trotamundos de Carabobo in Valencia, Venezuela. The Trotamundos are the reigning champions in the Venezuelan LPB league and are currently in second place. Ferguson was signed to the team along with two other CBA players, Shaun Fountain of the Indiana Alley Cats and Odartey Blankson of the Butte Daredevils.

Point guard Darnell Miller also signed overseas with the Etendard de Brest in Brest, France. The Etendard play in the France Pro-B League and won the league championship in 2005. Miller is playing alongside Minot High standout, Kenny Yonger.

"It is great that these players are continuing their careers and working on their overseas resumes. They helped Minot win a lot of games this year, and I expect them to do the same for their new clubs," commented Skyrockets Head Coach Chris Daleo.
