San Jose, CA. The San Jose Skyrockets, and new member team of the American Basketball Association, today announced they've chosen to hire Reverb Communications as its agency of record for the launch of the professional basketball team, making its Silicon Valley debut this fall. Reverb, with offices in San Jose and Twain Harte California, is well known for introducing new brands within the entertainment and high-tech industries.
"Reverb has a successful track record of developing effective marketing communications plans that deliver results," said James Y. Hasegawa, executive vice president of the San Jose Skyrockets. "With their ties to the San Jose community and their marketing and PR skills, we look forward to Reverb partnering with us to generate excitement about the ABA throughout the San Jose sports fan community."
Reverb has entertainment marketing and public relations experience working with concert venue Ironstone Vineyards, game publisher and peripheral maker RedOctane, and silicon chipmaker AGEIA Technologies.
The new San Jose Skyrockets follow the ABA charter of providing affordable family fun. The league is known for its unique blend of entertainment and basketball not found in any other sports league.

"Joining with the San Jose Skyrockets at the inception of their launch into the ABA league is a wonderful opportunity for us to bring something new and different to the city's roster of entertainment, and create a positive effect on the community as a whole."
