Skyrockets Announce Assistant Coach

Minot, ND - November 15, 2006 - The Minot Skyrockets are pleased to announce the hiring of Darryl Greene as their Assistant Coach. Greene comes in with an abundance of experience. He has served as Team Owner, General Manager, Head Coach, and Director of Basketball Operations for the Detroit Pros of the International Basketball League from 2004-2006. He also served as a NBPA Certified Player Agent from 1999-2006. Greene served as a volunteer Assistant Coach for the varsity boy's basketball team at Romulus Community High School from 1999-2003.

In 1993, Greene played with the Fargo-Moorhead Fever of the Continental Basketball Association. He also played at Minnesota State University-Moorhead, setting the All Time Single Season Assist record in 1992-93. Greene was an All-Conference, All-Area, All-Metro West, and Honorable Mention All-State basketball player at Inkster High School in 1987.

Greene was born on May 2, 1969 in Inkster, MI. He received his A.A. in Liberal Arts from Cloud County Community College in 1989 and a BS in Marketing from Wayne State University in 1997. He earned an MBA in Management from Heidelberg College in 2003. He is married to the former Zandra Grimes and has two daughters, Tiffany, 18 and Takara, 14 and one son, Darrian, 9.

"Darryl has played in the area, collegiately and professionally. He has professional coaching experience, and he will help us bring a championship to Minot," said Head Coach Chris Daleo.
