Minot Skyrockets News Release

Minot, ND - October 8, 2007 - The Minot Skyrockets have added two more players to the roster for the 2007-08 season. The Skyrockets have signed Tim Gray and Tyrone Hayes, pending league approval.

Gray (6'5/215) is a guard/forward from Spalding University in Louisville, Kentucky. In 2002-03, he was named as a 2nd Team NAIA All-American and was the 2nd Leading Scorer in the NAIA with 25.1 points per game. He also averaged 6 rebounds and 5.4 assists and shot 86.6% from the free throw line. During his college career, he was named a 1st Team All-Conference player for all 4 years and twice named as Conference Player of the Year. After college, he played professionally in England, Germany, Portugal, and Mexico. He has also played in the WBA and KIBA in the United States.

"Tim Gray came highly recommended to us by former Minot players and former CBA coach Gerald Oliver. Tim is strong, a good defender and can play multiple positions," said Skyrockets Head Coach Chris Daleo.

Tyrone Hayes is a 6'6/210 guard from the University of Idaho. In 2003-04, he averaged 13.5 ppg and 5.7 rpg in his senior year at Idaho. After college, he played in the WBA for the Southern Crescent Lightning. His team won the 2004 Championship and made it to the semifinals in 2005.

"We liked what we heard about Hayes. He needs a solid chance to prove himself on the CBA level. He can play multiple positions and has a hunger to compete," said Daleo.

Assistant Coach Sellers agrees, "In order to be successful as a team we need a competitive camp. Both of these players are hungry for the opportunity."

Training camp for the Skyrockets begins November 8th and their first game of the season will tip-off in Butte, Montana on November 16th against the National Conference Daredevils. The Skyrockets home opener will be on Friday, November 30th against the Rio Grande Valley Silverados.
