Ottawa SkyHawks News Release

OTTAWA- Tonight the Ottawa SkyHawks took on the Moncton Miracles in their first match-up against each other of the season, and scored a season high at 126 points. the Miracles came to town sitting at a 2-6 standing for the season, and the SkyHawks showed no mercy.

NBA champion, Jaren Jackson made his debut as the new Head Coach for the Ottawa SkyHawks at Wednesday night's game against the Moncton Miracles. He appeared calm, cool and collected pre-game when asked about tonight's game, he said "Players are going to do what they do best", structuring them in aspects of the game formally overlooked. "I'm happy every player on the bench not only got playing time, but scored as well. The guys played with a lot of poise," Jackson followed up with. This wasn't missed by the officials either, who could be heard talking about how every player on the scorecard had scored a point by the end of the game.

Justin Tubbs started the game with a steal and a reverse dunk, getting the crowd on their feet. SkyHawks then went into the half with lead 51-50. Whatever happened in the locker room at half-time worked, as the SkyHawks came out running strong in the third quarter with 43 points, and pacing in the fourth to take the win.

The SkyHawks newest player Bol Kong was still coming off an injury from the weekend and didn't dress for the court. Kong was struck his first game with the SkyHawks Saturday night, and received two stitches to his lip.
