
Skyforce's Harvey called up to New Jersey

Boise, ID (January 21, 2005) â Sioux Falls Skyforce forward Donnell Harvey has signed with the NBA's New Jersey Nets, it was announced today by the Continental Basketball Association League Office and Nets President Rod Thorn. The signing marks the eighth CBA-to-NBA call-up of the 2004-05 season, including the third different player from the Skyforce, and the third overall promotion by the Nets.
Harvey posted 13.6 points and 9.9 rebounds per game in 13 games played (11 started) for the Skyforce, after signing with the team on December 29. He also added 14 assists and 17 steals while shooting 47.0 percent (63 of 134) from the floor and 71.8 percent (51 of 71) from the free-throw line.
The 6-foot-8, 225-pounder posted a season-high of 26 points, while also adding 12 rebounds, against the Michigan Mayhem on January 21. He later posted a season-high 19 rebounds against the Yakima Sun Kings on January 29.
The University of Florida alum ('00) has played for four NBA teams (Dallas, Denver, Orlando and Phoenix) since he was drafted by the New York Knicks in the First Round of the 2000 NBA Draft. In 202 NBA games, Harvey has career averages of 5.7 points and 4.1 rebounds per game. He was with the Atlanta Hawks during the 2004-05 preseason before joining the Skyforce.
Harvey is filling a roster spot left vacant when the Nets placed forward Richard Jefferson on the Injured List.
