OLD ORCHARD BEACH, ME - The Futures Collegiate Baseball League in conjunction with the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide are proud to announce Raging Tide player Skip Flanagan as the recipient of the 2013 Adam Keenan Sportsmanship and Scholarship award.

Flanagan received the award Thursday night in a pre-game ceremony at The Ballpark with his parents Sean and Sue Flanagan in attendance, along with his Raging Tide Host Family Mike and Debby Komich and friend Curtiss James. Also in attendance for the award ceremony was FCBL commissioner Chris Hall along with the Keenan family.

Adam Keenan passed away suddenly on June 6th, 2011 and the Futures League has since honored the memory of Adam with an annual sportsmanship and scholarship award. Each season since Adams passing, the Futures League selects a player who exemplifies the commitment to the game of Baseball and exceptional behavior on and off the field to carry on the legacy of Adam.

Flanagan, who recently finished his sophomore season at Rochester Institute of Technology, received the award in front of fans and teammates on the field. "We are very proud to have a player like Skip," said Raging Tide player Chris Torres. "Fans in this community truly appreciate his commitment to Baseball but they also realize how great of a person he is, this was a very deserving award."
