North Richland Hills, TX - Hampus SJodahl and Alex Berardinelli each scored hat tricks Friday night at NYTEX Sports Centre but Berardinelli's Bahamas' five-goal second proved to be the difference in a 6-4 win over the Jacks

After a scoreless first that saw Lone Star outshoot the Odessa 12-1, the Jackalopes took the first lead of the game on just their third shot when Sjodahl potted his 27th of the year at 6:35, extending his point streak to a career-high eleven games. The Brahmas would respond with five unanswered goals including a two by newly committed winger (Colorado College) Berardinelli (27, 28), ending Jon Flakne's night early. Sjodahl then buried his second of the game at 17:50 to cut the lead down to three, 5-2. The goal was assisted by Derek Brown, which extended his point streak to 17 consecutive games.

In the third, Brennen Miller (6) jammed home an early tally to get Odessa back within two at 2:30. But, Berardinelli recaptured Lone Star's three-goal lead with his second hat trick of the year. Sjodahl countered Berardinelli's trick with the first hat trick of this career at 11:21. The Jacks resilience faltered as Lone held on for a 6-4 win.

Connor O'Brien earned the win (12-5-5) stopping 15 shots while Dean Shatzer (9-14-3) suffered the defeat denying ten shots in relief.
