SJ Sharks Reassign Forward Chris Tierney to Worcester Sharks

SAN JOSE - San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has reassigned forward Chris Tierney (@tierney71) to the Worcester Sharks (AHL).

Tierney, 20, made his NHL debut on Oct. 8 at Los Angeles and recorded his first career point (an assist) in the contest. He has tallied two assists in 11 games with San Jose this season.

The six-foot, 190-pound native of Keswick, Ontario, was originally drafted by San Jose in the second round (55th overall) of the 2012 NHL Draft.

In addition, the club has activated forward Tyler Kennedy.

Kennedy, 28, missed 10 games due to injury before being assigned to Worcester on a conditioning stint on Oct. 27. He recorded two goals and one assist in three games with Worcester from Oct. 29 thru Nov. 2.
