Batavia Muckdogs News Release

Auburn, NY - The Muckdogs four game winning streak came to an end on Friday night as they were defeated in Auburn by a score of 7-3.

With the win, the Muckdogs fall to 9 games behind first place Auburn in the Pinckney Division, but remain in a second place tie with Mahoning Valley.

The Doubledays hit Justin Libey for six runs in the 2nd inning, which would be all the support that the Auburn pitching would need, as they held the Muckdogs to just 3 hits on the night.

Javon Moran accounted for two of the hits, including his first career home run. The other hit belonged to 2B Tim Moss, who was making his professional debut. Moss was the Phillies 3rd round selection in the June draft.

The same two teams continue the three game series at Dwyer Stadium tonight, with a 7:05 start time that includes free general admission seating for all fans.
