
SiriusXM NHL Network to Air Another Texas Stars Broadcast

CEDAR PARK, TX - The Texas Stars, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the Dallas Stars, announced today that SiriusXM NHL Network Radio will carry the live broadcast of the Stars home game on Sunday, January 6th against the Houston Aeros, a 6:00 p.m. CST faceoff at Cedar Park Center.
SiriusXM NHL Network Radio will carry the Texas Stars game on its main channel (Sirius 207, XM 92), as well as other AHL action, including seventeen newly announced games from December 31st to January 13th. Every live Stars broadcast is available free-of-charge online and can be accessed by clicking on the radio tab of www.AHLLive.com.
SiriusXM NHL Network Radio can be found on Sirius 207 and XM 92, providing more than 20 million subscribers in Canada and the United States with groundbreaking 24/7 hockey talk. This marks the eighth consecutive season that AHL action will air on SiriusXM NHL Network Radio, including the annual AHL All-Star Game, the Calder Cup Finals and other regular-season and playoff games.
The American Hockey League, in its 77th season, continues to serve as the top development league for the players, coaches, managers, executives and broadcasters of all 30 National Hockey League teams. More than 88 percent of NHL players are American Hockey League graduates, and for the 11th year in a row, more than 6 million fans attended AHL games across North America in 2011-12. Through the years, the AHL has been home to more than 100 future members of the Hockey Hall of Fame, including legends such as Johnny Bower, Andy Bathgate, Gerry Cheevers, Larry Robinson, Patrick Roy and Brett Hull.
Texas returns to action Friday, December 21st at 7:00 p.m. for the beginning of a two-game weekend set with the Oklahoma City Barons at Cox Convention Center. The Stars' next home game is scheduled for Thursday, December 27th against Oklahoma City at 7:30 p.m. at Cedar Park Center.
