Sioux Falls Storm News Release

The Sioux Falls Storm impressed Saturday as they out dueled a hot Colorado Ice team in front of a raucous home crowd. The Storm melted the Ice 50-37, and picked up win number 36 in a row at the Storm Shelter.

Storm standout Chris Dixon had a rough first half, only managing 57 yards through the air, but like any great player, he was able to improvise. Dixon finished with 90 yards on 11-24 passing and 4 touchdowns. Dixon also added 30 yards on the ground and 1 touchdown.

Tory Harrison had another big game gathering 63 yards on the ground while picking up 1 touchdown. Harrison also grabbed 2 receptions for 13 yards, adding another touchdown.

The Storm defense came up big throughout the night holding the high-powered Ice offense to only 185 yards. Tyler Knight and Patrick Wells anchored the Storm defense throughout the night. Both players tallied a total of 9 tackles in the win.

The Storm advance to 4-0 while the Colorado Ice fall to 1-2.

The Storm return home March 30th where they will play host to the Green Bay Blizzard. Kickoff is set for 4:05 p.m. For tickets and information visit www.siouxfallsstorm.com or call 274-6686 .
