(Troy.OH) - Members of the Miami Valley Silverbacks will take part in the American Red Cross' Save a Life Saturday event, March 18 at the Miami Valley Center Mall in Piqua. Linebackers Joe Washington and Brandon Price will support the Northern Miami Valley Chapter by taking a course to earn Adult CPR certification.

"CPR is a skill that everyone needs to know," said Joe Washington, Silverbacks Linebacker. "I've never been certified and I might need to know how to save someone's life someday. Anyone who has a chance should take the opportunity to take this course." The course will be held 10am until 2pm. Certification will be earned with successful completion of skills and a written exam. The class is only $10, a specially discounted price in celebration of Red Cross Month.

"The guys on this team are very excited to be in this community and want to get involved in as many projects and events as they possibly can," explained Sue Keeton, Silverbacks' Director of Public Relations & Broadcasting. Save a Life Saturday is one of many events the team will be participating in across the Northern Miami Valley. If your company or organization is interested in a team appearance, call the Silverbacks at 718.7044.

Don't miss the Silverbacks home opener, Saturday, April 1, as they take on the Reading Express.
