Atlanta Silverbacks News Release

ATLANTA (July 27, 2011) - The Atlanta Silverbacks are giving fans the unique opportunity to design the team's uniforms, the club announced today. The winning uniform design will be selected based on the number of "likes" it receives on the Silverbacks' official Facebook page and will be worn during the 2012 season.

Fans are invited to visit atlantasilverbacks.com or the Silverbacks' Facebook page (facebook.com/atlantasilverbacks) to download a uniform template. Using the template, entrants can create their own uniform designs and submit them via e-mail to contest@atlantasilverbacks.com. Starting August 1, the Silverbacks will add the entries to a photo album on the team's Facebook page, and fans will be able to "like" their favorite jersey design submissions.

The five contest entries that receive the most likes before the voting period ends September 2 will advance to the finals. Each of the five finalists will receive two season tickets for 2012.

In the finals, the five remaining entries will be added to a new Facebook album where fans can again "like" the designs they want to see the Silverbacks wear next season. Voting for the final jersey designs will run September 5-22, and the winner of the contest will be formally announced at halftime of the Silverbacks' final regular season home game on September 24.

The creator of the winning uniform design will win a four-day, three-night trip to Bogota, Colombia. The Silverbacks' apparel sponsor, Saeta, is based in Bogota and the winning fan will have the opportunity to visit the company's factory and watch the new-look uniforms being manufactured. The winner will also receive two tickets to a professional soccer game in Colombia and four 2012 Silverbacks jerseys showcasing their design.

"As an organization, we want to get the fans as involved as possible, and we hope they will enjoy this opportunity to actually decide what their team looks like next season," said Director of Soccer Rodrigo Rios. "It's not very often you get to decide what your favorite athletes get to wear."
