ATLANTA (September 26, 2011) - After nearly two months of voting, a winner has been named in the 2012 Atlanta Silverbacks Uniform Design Contest.

The winning design came from Adrian Portillo, 29, of Roswell. Portillo's entry received 685 votes on the Silverbacks' Facebook page, more than any of his opponents in the competition. The Silverbacks will wear uniforms bearing his striped design during the 2012 season.

In addition to seeing his design on the 2012 Silverbacks, Portillo won a grand prize that includes a four-day, three-night trip to Bogota, Colombia, which is where the Silverbacks' apparel partner, Saeta, is headquartered. He will also receive four uniforms featuring his winning design.

Each of the contest finalists, including Portillo, will receive a pair of 2012 Silverbacks season tickets.

The Silverbacks concluded their inaugural season in the NASL on Saturday night. For player announcements, offseason event information, or to purchase season tickets for the 2012 season, visit atlantasilverbacks.com.
