San Antonio Stars News Release

SAN ANTONIO, May 5, 2010 - The Silver Stars today announced that they have waived guard Dee Davis and forward Diana Delva as guards Roneeka Hodges and Belinda Snell return to San Antonio from their overseas commitments. San Antonio initially signed Davis and Delva to training camp contracts on April 13, 2010 and April 21, 2010, respectively.

San Antonio acquired Hodges from the Minnesota Lynx in a sign and trade deal on Feb. 19, 2010, which sent the rights to second round picks in the 2011 WNBA Draft to Minnesota. The 5-foot-11 guard averaged 9.9 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 0.6 steals and 27.3 minutes per game in 33 games with the Lynx in 2009.

The Silver Stars re-signed Snell one week ago; she initially joined the Silver Stars for the 2009 season after spending the first three seasons of her WNBA career with the Phoenix Mercury. With San Antonio, Snell averaged a career-high 6.2 points and 2.3 rebounds in 18.4 minutes per game. Additionally, the 5-foot-11 guard recorded a new career-high in points (21) against her former team at home on June 23.

The Silver Stars open the 2010 regular season on May 15 with a 7 p.m. tip-off against the visiting Atlanta Dream. Full and partial season ticket plans are on sale now. Visit www.sasilverstars.com or call (210) 444-5090 for more information.
