Silver Stars place Bernadette Ngoyisa on injured list

SAN ANTONIO - San Antonio Silver Stars Chief Operating Officer Clarissa Davis-Wrightsil announced today that Silver Stars center Bernadette Ngoyisa has been placed on the injured list with a left knee contusion. At the same time the Silver Stars activated guard Dalma Invanyi from the injured list. She will be available to play in tonight's game at the Los Angeles Sparks.

Ngoyisa has appeared in four games for the Silver Stars, averaging 6.3 points and 3.8 rebounds in 13.3 minutes per game. She will be re-evaluated by Silver Stars' team doctors when the team returns to San Antonio on Wednesday, June 1.

Ivanyi has missed the Silver Stars first four games on the injured list with bilateral patella tendonitis. For her career, Ivanyi has appeared in 45 games, averaging 2.4 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 13.1 minutes per game.

The Silver Stars are currently 0-4 and return to action tonight when they visit the Los Angeles Sparks at 9:30 p.m. CT. Fans can tune in and listen to all of the team's 2005 games on Clear Channel radio stations The Ticket 760 AM or KSJL 810 AM/92.5 FM with Andrew Monaco calling the action.
