Silver Stars Host Open Practice at AT&T Center

SAN ANTONIO - The 2008 WNBA Western Conference Champion Silver Stars are back, and fans can get a sneak peak at returning veterans Sophia Young, Shanna Crossley and Erin Buescher Perperoglou during the Silver Stars free open practice on Saturday, May 23 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the AT&T Center.

Fans can take pictures with the 2008 Western Conference Championship trophy, have their faces painted before the practice, and head to the court for a preview of this year's Silver Stars team led by head coach Dan Hughes.

Doors open at 10:30 a.m. with practice beginning at 11 a.m., and pictures with the trophy at the East Entrance starting at Noon. Fans attending the practice session can take advantage of a special buy-one-get-one-free ticket by purchasing an opening night ticket and receiving a free ticket to the June 23 ESPN2 contest vs. Phoenix.

The defending Western Conference Champion Silver Stars open the 2009 season on the road at Phoenix before coming home to host the New York Liberty Saturday, June 13 for the home opener and 2008 Western Conference banner unveiling.
