Pet Fair, Pet Costume Contest and Parade - 6 to 7 p.m.

Silver Stars vs. Phoenix - 7 p.m.

BACKGROUND: Fans can bring their dogs to the Silver Stars game Saturday and take advantage of a pre-game doggie costume contest, or visit one of many pet-friendly vendors on the main concourse. Owners can have their dogs microchipped for free on the Plaza concourse or search for a new best friend by checking out several adoptable dogs.

A portion of the game's proceeds will go to OwnUp SA, San Antonio's initiative aimed at making San Antonio a No Kill city by 2012 and urging everyone to take responsibility for companion pets by pledging to spay or neuter their pets as well as provide a safe and healthy home.
