
Monarchs Sign Whitney Boddie to Contract

SACRAMENTO, CALIF., Aug. 14, 2009 - The Sacramento Monarchs announced today the organization has signed guard Whitney Boddie to a second seven-day contract. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
On Aug. 7 of this month, the Monarchs signed Boddie to a seven-day contact, which ended on Aug. 13, 2009. During her first week stint, she made appearances in both of the Monarchs games. Boddie, the Monarchs second round (20th overall) 2009 WNBA Draft pick, played in both Monarchs preseason games and averaged 21.0 minutes, 2.0 points, 2.5 rebounds, 0.5 assists and 2.0 steals per game. She was previously waived on June 4 of this year, prior to the start of the Monarchs 2009 regular season.
