Silver Knights Announce 2012 Promotional Schedule

NASHUA, NH - This summer the Silver Knights and Holman Stadium is the place to be if you want to see celebrities, fireworks, a helicopter dropping $1,000 and to see just how long a snowman lasts in the middle of summer.

The Silver Knights enter the 2012 season as the first-ever defending champions of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League. As part of the festivities on Opening Night, Friday, June 8th, the players from the 2011 Championship Team, Coaching Staff and Front Office will receive their FCBL Championship Rings in a special pre-game ceremony in front of the fans. After the game fans will be treated to a Fireworks Show.

On Sunday, June 10th New England Patriots kicker Stephen Gostkowski will be in attendance to help "kick-off" opening weekend. Between-innings he will be kicking autographed footballs into the crowd from the field. Many lucky fans will walk home with an autographed football from the Patriots kicker.

On Saturday, August 4th the Silver Knights are very excited to welcome home Nashua's own Mike O'Malley as they honor him with his own bobble head. The first 500 fans will receive a bobble head courtesy of Bishop Guertin High School.

The night before on Friday, August 3rd the Silver Knights make it a complete bobble head weekend where the first 500 fans will receive a Jacoby Ellsbury Bobble Head courtesy of Collins Dentistry for Children. The fans will also be treated to a post-game Fireworks show.

On Saturday, June 23rd the Silver Knights welcome Boston Bruins Stanley Cup Champion Andrew Ference on their Bruins Night. Ference will throw out the ceremonial pitch and sign autographs for fans. The Silver Knights will be wearing special jerseys that night with an "N" replacing the "B" in the spoke. A certain amount of the commemorative jerseys will be auctioned off to benefit Nashua Silver Knights Charities.

Once again this summer every Thursday night will be $1 draft/soda night and every Friday will feature Fireworks after the game courtesy of Bellevance and RS Fireworks.

On July 25th the Silver Knights will do their best to have a Winter Wonderland as they celebrate Christmas in July with Santa Claus and will see how long a snowman can last in the middle of summer.

Two separate occasions the Silver Knights will give away $1,000 in cash. On Father's Day, June 17th, a helicopter will drop 1,000 one dollar bills out of a helicopter after the game and 20 lucky dads will get a chance to collect as much money as they can. On June 26th is $1,000 Hot Dog Night where when a fan purchases a hot dog they have a chance to find money with their hot dog. A fan could find $1, $5, $10, $20 or even a $50 bill.

The Silver Knights are thrilled to host the first-ever FCBL All Star Game at Holman Stadium on July 26th. The night will feature $1 drafts/sodas along with a post-game Fireworks show. Before the game there will be a special skills competition with the All Stars.
