Silver Hawks and the South Bend Parks Department Announce Major Country Concert at Four Winds Field

South Bend, Indiana (April 2, 2014)- Your Silver Hawks and South Bend Parks and Recreation announced today they are partnering together along with country station B100 to host a major concert event that will take place at Four Winds Field. On June 21st, "South Bend Country Fest" will begin with gates opening at 4:30p.m. and the opening act, to be determined, taking the stage at approximately 5:30p.m. Following the opener, award-winning, multi-platinum recording artist, Jo Dee Messina will take the stage followed by the night's headliner, Big & Rich.

"We're pleased to offer an evening of great country music in downtown South Bend. This is another opportunity to enjoy the great atmosphere at Four Winds Field and help enhance our community in the process." stated South Bend Deputy Mayor, Mark Neal.

Tickets will go on sale Friday, April 11th at 10a.m. with a special early bird offer of $25 per ticket that will last through April 25th. Following the early bird offer, ticket prices will increase to $35 per person and to $45 on the day of the event. As an added benefit, anyone that purchases ticket at the $25 or $35 level will also receive a free ticket voucher for a 2014 Silver Hawks game. All seating will be classified as general admission with access onto the field or in the main seating bowl. There will also be limited VIP seating available near the stage that includes reserved table seating for eight(8), free food and all you can drink beer, wine, and soda throughout the event for $1,000. Table seating is extremely limited and is available on a first come basis.

Tickets can be purchased through the Silver Hawks Box Office in person, over the phone at 574-235-9988, between 10a.m. and 5p.m., or online. The O'Brien Center will also have tickets available for purchase. A portion of the ticket proceeds will go to help fund the construction of Miracle Park. Miracle Park is a "destination" facility for special needs families to engage and enjoy various components of sports and recreation.

The South Bend Silver Hawks are a Class A minor league team affiliated with the Arizona Diamondbacks. The team is owned and operated by Swing-Batter-Swing, LLC whose sole shareholder is Andrew T. Berlin of Chicago, IL. Opening Day is Tuesday, April 8, 2014.
