MACON, GA- The Macon Mayhem and Director of Hockey Operations Kevin Kerr announced today that center John Siemer has been loaned to the Quad City Mallards of the ECHL.

This trip to Quad City is Siemer's second call-up to the ECHL so far this season. The 24-year-old from Baldwin Park, CA played six games for the Greenville Swamp Rabbits in December, tallying one assist. The 5-9, 185-pound center leads the team in points and ranks third in the SPHL with 26. In just 20 games for the Mayhem this season, Siemer has 12 goals and 14 assists, including four points in five games since coming back from loan to Greenville. He joins his Mayhem teammates Garrett Bartus (Fort Wayne), Collin MacDonald (Indy), Jordan Ruby (South Carolina), and Nick Grasso (Indy) in the ECHL.

"As an organization, we are very happy that John is getting this opportunity with Quad City in the ECHL," said Kerr. "He's leading our team in scoring and has obviously been a huge part of our success this season. We wish him the best and hope to see him back in Macon in the future."

The Mayhem returns to the Macon Coliseum next Saturday, January 21, for 90's Night and College Night against the Knoxville Ice Bears.
