
Sidewinders to Host Four Games in Three Days

Tucson, AZ - The Tucson Sidewinders face the Portland Beavers four times in three days at Tucson Electric Park beginning at 7:00 p.m. Friday July, 11th and culminating with a scheduled doubleheader on Sunday, July 13th with the first game starting at 4:00p.m. The scheduled twin billing was designed to more easily accommodate travel for players attending the Triple-A All-Star Festivities in Louisville, Kentucky.
The 3-day homestand with kick off Friday with a Fireworks Spectacular after the game. The first 1,500 fans through the gates with paid admission on Saturday will receive either an autographed ball from a Tucson or PCL player or a blank official PCL baseball to get autographs upon. The gates for Sunday's double dip will open at 3:00 p.m. with a 20-minute intermission between contests.
Jamie D'Antona will represent the Sidewinders at the 2008 Triple-A All-Star game. The third baseman leads the Sidewinders in batting average (.376), hits (120), doubles (31), on-base percentage (.413) and slugging percentage (.604). D'Antona has also been selected to participate in the prestigious Futures Game at Yankee Stadium during the Major League All-Star festivities. D'Antona will be the team's only representative to both games after fellow honoree Second Baseman Emilio Bonifacio was recalled by the Arizona Diamondbacks.
