Salt Lake City, UT - The Salt Lake Bees scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning and held on for a 7-5 win over the Sidewinders on Thursday night at Franklin Covey Field.

Connor Robertson walked Brandon Wood to open the bottom of the seventh and Freddy Sandoval singled to move Wood to third. Adam Pavkovich blooped a base hit to right to tie the game, and after Jailen Peguero entered and struck out Terry Evans, Corey Smith singled to plate Sandoval with the go ahead run. Ryan Budde added a RBI fielder's choice to give the Bees an insurance run.

Smith finished 2 for 4 with his first home run and first two RBI in Triple-A this year.

Robertson (7-4) took the loss after being charged with three runs in just a third of an inning.

The Sidewinders took an early lead on Trent Oeltjen's RBI single in the first inning but the Bees quickly came back with two runs in the bottom of the first and one more in the second to take a 3-1 lead. Raines' 16th home run of the year brought the Sidewinders to within one in the third.

Tucson took the lead back with two in the fifth. Justin Upton doubled home Raines and Jamie D'Antona's sacrifice fly scored Upton. In the sixth, Robby Hammock's RBI single plated Donnie Kelly but the Bees stayed within one as Smith homered against Brandon Medders in the bottom of the inning.

The Sidewinders had one last chance to rally in the eighth when Raines and Oeltjen had back to back two out singles to put runners at the corners but Darren O'Day struck out Justin Upton to end the threat. O'Day (2-2) worked 2.1 innings for his second win.

Former Sidewinder Jason Bulger struck out the side in the ninth for his 15th save in 16 opportunities. His ERA is now 0.66.
