Tucson hurler John Patterson pitched 8 solid innings but took his second loss in the season to move his record to 5-2. Patterson gave up only 2 runs on 7 hits and 2 walks. The Tucson offense managed only 7 hits and was limited to 1 run for the second time this series.
Sidewinders 2B Matt Kata had two hits in the game, including a triple, and scored the team's only run. C Robby Hammock also had 2 hits and Chad Tracy picked up the Sidewinders' lone RBI.
The Sidewinders threatened to tie the game in the bottom of the 9th with Mike Bell drawing a 1-out walk. After Terrero struck out, Chris Donnels also walked to put the tying run at 2nd base and the winning at 1st.
