
Sidekicks win preseason opener 4-0 at West Texas A&M

CANYON, TEXAS - Lorenco Andrade scored two goals as the Dallas Sidekicks opened the 2003-04 preseason with a4-0 win over West Texas A&M University at Kimbrough Memorial Stadium.
Andrade scored the second and third goals for Dallas. Rookie midfielder Kenny Bundy assisted Andrade at 49:54 and Tatu assisted at 56:13. Eric Flores scored the final goal for Dallas, tallying at 79:14 against his alma mater.
The Sidekicks opened the scoring when forward Patrick Shamu tallied at 12:46. Midfielder Nick Stavrou assisted the opening score. Stavrou also assisted Flores at 79:14.
The Sidekicks had four players that attended West Texas A&M: forward Beau Brown and midfielders Vassar Cates and Flores. Sidekicks' head coach Tatu played about 20 minutes during the second half, taking two shots and collecting one assist to Andrade. The Sidekicks are now 3-0-2 all-time in outdoor exhibitions and 1-0-1 against West Texas A&M.
The Sidekicks second of four preseason games is against Futbol Rapido Mexico at Inwood Soccer Center in Addison this Saturday at 7:00 p.m. The game is open to the public and there is no charge for admission. The Sidekicks open the regular season Saturday October 4 at 7:05 p.m. by hosting the Monterrey Fury at Reunion Arena.
