DALLAS, Texas - The Dallas Sidekicks signed forward Beau Brown to a three-year plus option agreement.

Brown, a Wylie native, is entering his sixth indoor soccer season, his third with the Sidekicks. Dallas acquired Brown's rights from the Cleveland Force in a three-way trade involving Harrisburg, September 23, 2002. He was drafted first overall by Cleveland in the Major Indoor Soccer League dispersal draft following Utah and Sacramento's announcements not to join the MISL. Brown did not play for Dallas during the 2002-03 season while attending the University of Louisiana - Lafayette.

"It's great to have Beau back in the Sidekicks family," says Sidekicks General Manager, Jim Tolbert. "Beau is a product of the Dallas Sidekicks system. He's a solid player and individual with strong ties to the North Texas soccer community. Dallas is where he wanted to be and we are glad to have him back."

Brown started his career with the Sidekicks in 1997 after finishing his collegiate career at West Texas A&M. He also spent the 1998 season in Dallas before playing the 1999-2001 seasons with the Utah Freezz. In Utah, he finished in the top-ten of league scoring each season. His best finishes were second in assists in 2001 and fourth in goals during the 2000 season. Brown was named second-team All-WISL in 1999 and 2001.

Brown has 105 regular season games of experience, totaling 119 points on 64 goals and 55 assists. He has 410 shots, 101 blocks, 16 power-play goals and seven game-winning goals. He helped his team to the playoffs four out of five seasons, scoring two goals and adding five assists in seven games. Brown was a member of the Dallas Sidekicks 1998 WISL championship team.
