Series Notes:

-The Americans have only held a 3-1 series advantage once in team history (2010 Conference Finals versus Odessa) and they ultimately won that series in seven games.

-Allen forward Brian McMillin is tied for the post-season lead with three goals and is fourth in points with five (3-2=5).

-The CHL's Most Outstanding Goaltender from the regular season, Aaron Dell, has stopped 95 of 101 shots for Allen in the series (.941 save %) and his 1.51 GAA is second only to Rapid City's Tim Boron.

-Forward Jamie MacQueen leads the Cutthroats in scoring with three points (1-2=3).

Series Notes:

-The Thunder became the 14th team in 22 chances in the CHL playoffs to sweep a series after establishing a 3-0 series lead.

-The series featured three overtime games which is the most in a single series since 2009 when Odessa beat Laredo four games to two with four of those games going to overtime.

-The Thunder have won five of their last six playoff overtime games and have won four in a row dating back to last season.

-Wichita rookie Greger Hanson is the only Thunder player to score in all four games versus Arizona and he is tied for the league lead with six points (3-3=6).

Series Notes:

-The Brahmas had lost three of their previous four over time playoff games before winning in both Game's 2 and 3 in the series versus the Mallards.

-After missing Game 1 of the series, Fort Worth defenseman Ross Rouleau had recorded back-to-back two assist games.

-The Brahmas are the number one team in the post-season on the power play scoring four times on 14 chances (28.6%). Defenseman Eric Tallent has scored half of their power play goals.

-The Mallards are fighting an uphill battle as CHL teams with a 3-0 series lead in a best-of-7 are 22-0 when it comes to winning the series.

Series Notes:

-The Rapid City Rush has led a playoff serie4s 2-0 on three occasions in their team's history and all three times they have gone on to win the series.

-The Rush have been big in the third period so far in the playoffs outscoring the Mavs 4-1 in the final 20 minutes.

-Forward Andrew Courtney and defenseman Blake Forsyth are the lone two Mavs players on the plus side of the plus/minus ledger, both sitting at +1.

-Mavs rookie goalie Mathieu Corbeil won his post-season debut on Wednesday night stopping 23 of 25 shots in his team's 3-2 overtime win.

This Date in Playoff History (April 5, 2006)

The Odessa Jackalopes defeated the Amarillo Gorillas, 4-3, in Game 3 of their best-of-7 series starting a huge comeback in the series. Odessa would go on to win the next three games in a row erasing a two games to none lead for the Gorillas. Rapid City Head Coach Joe Ferras was the coach for the Gorillas in that series and Missouri Head Coach Scott Hillman was a defenseman with the Jackalopes. Veteran's Scott Wray (RPD) and Sebastien Thinel (MIZ) also played in that game, Wray for Amarillo and Thinel for Odessa.
