PREVIEW: The Shorebirds evened up the series with a go-ahead grand slam in the 7th inning by Conor Bierfeldt. Delmarva battled with Lakewood, and they finally got the big play they had been searching for. The Shorebirds are now back over .500 in the second half, and they have won 50 games on the season.

TODAY'S OPPONENT: Ranfi Casimiro will start game three for the Lakewood BlueClaws. Casimiro has compiled a 2-8 ERA with a 5.47 ERA with Lakewood. The right-hander has lost each of his last three starts. Casimiro has not won a decision since May 18th vs. Rome. In two starts vs. Delmar- va, Casimiro is 0-1 with two disparate starts. In the first outing, Casimiro allowed only one run in six innings. Then on May 30th, Casimiro allowed eight runs in 3 1/3 innings.

19TH SEASON: The 2014 season marks the 19th season of Shorebirds baseball on the Eastern Shore and 18th straight year as a Baltimore Orioles affiliate. The Shorebirds' first season was 1996 as a Montreal Expos farm team.

ORIOLES WATCH: The Baltimore Orioles won on a walkoff single by Nick Hundley in the 10th in- ning over the New York Yankees. The 3-2 victory put the O's up to 10 games over .500 at 51-41. Miguel Gonzalez tossed solid eight innings in the start. Baltimore will go for a series win before the All-Star Break with Chris Tillman on the mound on Saturday.

THE IRON IS HOT: 19 out of the 25 players on the Shorebirds active roster appeared for the Ab- erdeen IronBirds in 2013. The IronBirds put together an impressive season, making the playoffs for the first time in their 12-year franchise history. Aberdeen won the McNamara Division in the New York-Penn League with a 40-32 record. The IronBirds lost in the first round of the NYPL play- offs, losing 2 games to 0 against the Tri-City Valley Cats.

GREGORY LORENZO | OF

The Shorebirds outfielder has raised up his game since the All-Star Break. Lorenzo is hitting .342 in 21 games in the second half, compared to .243 in the first half. His on-base percentage is .405, up from .303 in the first half. Lorenzo already has 12 RBIs since the break, which is more than the 11 RBIs he collected in 62 games before the All-Star Game.

WHO'S HOT - GARRETT CORTRIGHT

Since allowing a home run to Trey Michalcze- wski during his Shorebirds' debut, Cortright has not allowed another run. His last appear- ance was three perfect innings of relief vs. West Virginia for his first hold.

WHO ELSE - CHANCE SISCO

Since the All-Star Break, Chance Sisco has been otherworldly. The Shorebirds catcher is batting .416 (37-for-89) in 21 games in the second half. Sisco is now 2nd in the SAL with a .346 batting average.
