Spokane Shock News Release

The Spokane Shock announced today that OL/DL Rico Ochoa has been assigned to its 2007 roster by the arenafootball2 League Office. Ochoa is the second player from the 2006 team to resign with the Shock, joining fellow lineman Jerome Stevens. The Shock's roster now totals seven players.

Ochoa's 2006 Shock teammate Ed Ta'amu was signed today by the Kansas City Brigade of the Arena Football League. Ta'amu, the fourth player from the 2006 Shock roster to sign with an AFL team, will join former Shock Head Coach Chris Siegfried and WR Charles Frederick with the Brigade.

Ochoa, a center, anchored the offensive line starting 12 of the 13 games he played in for the Shock. All season Ochoa and the offensive line allowed only 11 sacks during the regular season, ranking third among af2 teams.

"I'm glad to have Rico back, he did a great job last year," General Manager Adam Nebeker said. "We had a great offensive line last year and he was a big part of it."

The Shock will begin their defensive of the 2006 ArenaCup Championship on March 31st as they host the Stockton Lightning at the Spokane Arena. Season tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by calling 509 242 7462. Available ticket prices range from $48-$99.
