Spokane Shock News Release

SPOKANE, Wash. - The Spokane Shock's very own offensive lineman Brandon Smith has been selected by the Canadian Football League, Toronto Argonauts this past Thursday, July 22nd. Smith was born in Morganton, North Carolina, and raised an hour and a half away in Kernersville. He had an outstanding career at East Carolina University earning the offensive unit's recipient of the "Most Improved Player Award" following spring workouts (2017). Following his collegiate career, he had a stint with the Jacksonville Jaguars before joining the Spokane Shock. While his time with the Shock has come to an end, he has left his mark on this team, which will greatly miss his boisterous self.

When asked about the promotion Coach Billy Back said, "Can't be prouder for Brandon. The reason he came out here was for the exposure to the next level. Came in, performed, did his job, and signed a CFL contract. Couldn't happen to a better kid with a great personality and even better work ethic."
