Shock Announce Open Tryouts in Prep for 2015 Season

SPOKANE, Wash. (September 17, 2014) - The Spokane Shock announced today their first open tryouts in preparation for the 2015 Arena Football League season.
The first tryout will be held on Sunday, October 26th in the Dallas, Texas area at Pennington Field (1501 Central Drive, Bedford, TX 76022). Day of registration will take place on-site and will open at 8:00 AM local time with the workout beginning at approximately 9:00 AM.
The second tryout will be held on Saturday, November 8th in Atlanta, Georgia at the Georgia State University practice facility (188 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive SE, Atlanta, GA 30312). Day of registration will take place on-site and will open at 8:00 AM local time with the workout beginning at approximately 9:00 AM.
"We're very excited to be able to offer tryouts outside of the Pacific Northwest this year and get out into other areas of the country," said Shock Head Coach Andy Olson. "We've had and currently have a number of players from these areas we are targeting and expect to find some quality talent we can bring into our 2015 training camp."
Participants will be tested in the 40-yard dash, 20-yard shuttle and broad jump. Afterward, Shock coaching staff and assistants will lead position drills and 1-on-1's. The workouts will be conducted on artificial turf fields, so participants are encouraged to wear cleats.
Pre-registration for the tryouts is currently open at the cost of $50 per participant. Pre-registration will close three (3) days prior to each event. Day of registration will be available on-site at each event at the cost of $75 per participant (cash only).

The Shock plan to also hold open tryouts at the Shock Training Facility in Spokane Valley, WA this fall and in the winter of 2015. Information and dates for those events will be released in the coming weeks.
