SPOKANE, WA (March 17, 2014) - The Spokane Shock are excited to announce the hiring of Mike Levy as their new team President effective immediately.

"It's great to be back in the Arena Football League," Levy said. "After attending opening night I look forward to working with our team to build on our fan's incredible enthusiasm for the Shock."

Mike joins the Shock with over 25 years of sports and entertainment management experience including President of the WNBA Los Angeles Sparks, Sr. VP of Marketing and Sales for the NBA Memphis Grizzlies, Special Advisor for Business Development for the Cleveland Browns, VP of Marketing and Communications for the Kansas City Royals, and CMO with International Tennis Hall of Fame.

In 2008, he spear-headed the start-up of the Arena Football League's Cleveland Gladiators as COO/General Manager when the team averaged more than 14,000 fans per game and made it to the Conference Finals.

"We are extremely pleased to announce that Mike Levy has joined our team," Nader Naini, Chairman of Arena Football Partners said. "Adding Mike's extensive experience as the senior executive of many major professional sports teams will only further enhance our ability to deliver the best fan experience and value to our business partners as possible. We are thrilled to have him joining our talented team."

The Shock hit the road to take on the Arizona Rattlers this Sunday, March 23 at 3 p.m. PST in a rematch of last year's National Conference Championship. Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena will host the next Shock home game on April 12 when AFL newcomer Portland Thunder comes into town.
