Spokane Shock News Release

February 24, 2009: Spokane, WA: The Spokane Shock announced today that QB Casey Hansen has been added to the 2008 roster.

Hansen, 6-5 235, capped off his collegiate career in 2008 after two years at Norfolk State. As a Spartan, Hansen accumulated 4,277 passing yards with 19 touchdowns. As a freshman, Hansen attended Colorado State and appeared in ten games before transferring to Chaffey College and filled in for current Shock QB Nick Davila, who attended the school the previous season.

After his collegiate career, Hansen signed with the Philadelphia Eagles before being released.

"He can make all of the throws - he has a live arm and he's very intelligent. Everywhere he has had an opportunity, he has impressed the Coaches he has been around," Shackleford explained. "He is a prototypical drop-back QB with great touch and a tremendous arm."

Shock fan's first opportunity to see Hansen will be on March 18th for a preseason game as they host the Arkansas Twisters. Tickets can be purchased through TicketsWest.

The Shock will kick-off the regular season April 3rd on Spokane Tribe Field at the Spokane Arena as they host the Stockton Lightning. Season tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by calling (509) 242-7462 today.
