October 21, 2010 - Arena Football League (AFL)
Spokane Shock News Release
Spokane, WA: The Spokane Shock announced today that DL Nekos Brown, 6-2 250, has been added to the 2011 roster.
Most recently, Brown spent time with the Washington Redskins and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers earlier this season. Prior to his professional experience, Brown had a decorated career at Virginia Tech where he racked up 112 tackles with 11.5 sacks.
"Nekos put up some impressive numbers in college," Head Coach Rob Keefe said. "Those numbers caught the attention of some NFL teams and they caught our attention too. He is another player who has a high-motor and he doesn't stop until the whistle blows. Those are the types of players you need to win a Championship."
This will be Brown's rookie season in Arena Football.
