Tulsa, Okla. - The Tulsa Shock have signed forward Vicki Baugh to a training camp contract. The Shock drafted Baugh in 2012 in the third round (25th overall). Baugh has participated in two training camps with Tulsa in 2012 and 2013.
During this off-season, Baugh has been playing in Russia for Chevakata with Shock guard Angel Goodrich. Baugh has played in 15 games and is averaging 6.5 points per game, shooting 54.1 percent from the field and 7.4 rebounds per game for Chevakata. In eight games of Euro Cup play this season, Baugh averaged 10.5 points per game, while shooting 56.4 percent from the field and averaged 8.5 rebounds.
"Vicki is a versatile player," said Fred Williams, Head Coach of the Tulsa Shock. "She is a physical player that loves contact in the paint. She has played for Pat Summitt at Tennessee in the past, and I know she is coachable. Vicki has shown tremendous improvement in Russia this offseason, and I'm happy to have her in camp."
Tulsa's home opener will be 7 p.m. on Friday, May 23 vs. Minnesota Lynx at the BOK Center.
