Sharks To Hold First Press Conference February 10

The Carolina Sharks of the Atlantic Indoor Football League will hold their first press conference Thursday, February 10 at the main concourse of Cricket Arena in Charlotte, NC.

Those scheduled to appear at the press conference are the following:

- Theron Davis, owner and head coach of the Sharks

- Mo Collins, former NFL Oakland Raider, Charlotte native and West Charlotte High School star

- Natrone Means, former NFL San Diego Chargers player and Cabarrus County native

- Yancey Thigpen, former NFL Pittsburgh Steelers and Tennessee Titans player

- Members of the Carolina Sharks team and "Feeding Frenzy" dance team

- Eric Scott, Director of the Cricket Arena

- Mike Crum, Executive Director, Facility Operations, Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority

The Sharks will announce their 2005 AIFL schedule, unveil their home and road uniforms, team colors and apparel, name team and league sponsors, discuss season ticket sales and reveal promotions for the team's first home game against the Raleigh Rebels April 23.

Mr. Davis will also pay homage to Bob Johnson and other African-American professional sports franchise owners, both past and present, that have paved the way for all young black entrepreneurs that have a dream in celebration of Black History Month.
