The Corpus Christi Sharks are getting set for Game Two of the 2007 season as they prepare to square off Saturday against the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz. Both teams are coming off opening season loses as the Yard Dawgz fell to the Florida Firecats 55-22 back in week one. Saturday night the Sharks will be honoring Coach Ronnie Arrow & the 2007 Southland Conference Champion Corpus Christi Islander Men's basketball team at halftime. Coach Arrow will conduct the honorary coin toss at Saturday's game and many of this years team members will be on hand at the game.
Next Home Game
The Corpus Christi Sharks will be home again May 5th as they get their first look at divisional rival the Bossier-Shreveport Battelwings on Saturday night with a 7:05 kickoff from Radiology Associates Field at the American Bank Center. Former Dallas Cowboys QB Quincy Carter will make his one lone appearance for Bossier-Shreveport at the American Bank Center that night. Sharks Unveil Mascot & Dance Team
The Corpus Christi Sharks are pleased to announce that following weeks of on-line fan voting at www.ccsharks.com , the Sharks mascot finally has a name. While the balloting was close right down to the last day, the Sharks mascot will now be know as "Scully"!
Last Saturday night fans at the American Bank Center Arena got their first look at the "Lady Sharks" Dance Team. The Lady Sharks can be seen not only at Shark games but also throughout the Coastal Bend at charity events, grand openings, parades, fundraisers, etc.
