Jacksonville Sharks News Release
JACKSONVILLE, FL - The Sharks are adding depth to their roster for the 2023 season by signing several NAL veterans and new rookie talents. The signings of Dequan Dudley, Jimmie Goodloe, Droell Greene, Sean Connaghan, and Frank Darden bring more competition as Training Camp approaches.
Dequan Dudley (5'8, 175) comes to Jacksonville as a wide receiver for his rookie season from Texas A&M Commerce where he competed in both football and track. Dudley finished his track career winning the 4x100m relay at the Division II Outdoor Track and Field National Championship with a school record time of 40.26 seconds. He then transferred to Carson-Newman.
Jimmie Goodloe (6'2, 270) previously played with the Columbus Lions in 2018 and the Albany Empire in 2022 as an offensive and defensive lineman. In his time with the Empire, Goodloe had two receiving touchdowns and two tackles in a total of nine games. Before playing in the NAL, Goodloe was a lineman for the Red Wolves at Arkansas State.
Droell Greene (6'0, 190) comes to the Jacksonville Sharks after spending the past two seasons as a member of the Columbus Lions. Greene is coming off of his best statistical season to date where he had 57 tackles, four interceptions, two forced fumbles, and was named Second Team All-NAL. Before turning pro, Greene played at Western Kentucky University racking up 94 tackles and three interceptions.
Sean Connaghan (6'3, 235) spent two years at West Florida, including their inaugural season in 2016, before transferring to Newberry College where he contributed seven tackles and one sack. The Sharks plan to utilize his versatility on both sides of the ball as a fullback and linebacker.
Frank Darden (6'4, 370) is an alumni of LA Valley CC in Valley Glen, California. He is entering his rookie season in the NAL. Darden will pose a threat on both the offensive and defensive line for the Sharks.
