Sharks Bolster Line with Degg on IR

The Jacksonville Sharks announce the addition of Offensive Lineman Mike Mabry to the roster. The move came after moving Randy Degg to the Injured Reserve list.

Mabry (6'2, 300) Central Florida, joins the Sharks via the UFL's Sacramento Mountain Lions. The former seventh round draft pick of the Baltimore Ravens in the 2003 NFL draft, is the only starting center in the history of the Mountain Lions, starting all eight games in 2010. Mabry also started all six games for the California Redwoods of the UFL in 2009. In addition to the Ravens, Mabry has spent time with the Cincinnati Bengals, Atlanta Falcons and Cleveland Browns of the NFL as well as the Cologne Centurions of NFL Europe.

Mabry also brings AFL-championship experience to the Sharks as a member of the Philadelphia Soul from 2006-2008. Mabry and the Soul defeated the San Jose SaberCats in Arena Bowl XXII in 2008.

Mabry began his collegiate career at Southwest Mississippi Junior College, where he earned All-Region and All-Mississippi Junior College honors in 2000. Mabry finished his collegiate career as a two-year starter for the Central Florida Golden Knights. Mabry is originally from Houston, Texas and lettered in football, track, baseball and power lifting while attending Dayton (Texas) High School.
