Rochester RazorSharks News Release

Rochester, NY- Rochester opened up on a 21-1 run and never looked back as the Razorsharks defeated an undermanned Mid-Michigan squad 141-86.

Rochester started the game off quick on a 21-1 run; the streak was finally broken after a Marcus Skinner free throw. Mid-Michigan, despite being undermanned due to a rash of food poisoning on the team, tried to keep things tight. Odgra Bobo had 16 in the first half with Melvin White adding ten with added intensity on both the offensive and defensive boards. In the first half, Rochester was lead by Jerice Crouch with 17 and Sammy Monroe with 14. The Sharks shot 51.1 percent in the first half of play.

In the third quarter, the only thing in doubt was if the Razorsharks would make a run at the team record for points in a game with 142. The Sharks went on an 8-0 run to start the quarter; later they went on a 15-2 run as Keith Friel hit a pair of threes and the Razorsharks defense turned it up forcing ten third quarter turnovers and the Sharks were up107-59 after three and ended up winning 141-86.

For Rochester Jerice Crouch had 25 and Sammy Monroe had 21. Three Razorsharks had double figure rebound totals with James Reaves leading with 12. Odgra Bobo had a game high 28 for the Destroyers.
