Camden Riversharks News Release
CAMDEN, NJ - Tuesday night was a night of errors at Campbell's Field. The Riversharks made four-three by catcher Randy McGarvey. But it was two regrettable pitches by Long Island reliever Scott Rice that decided the game.
The Ducks took a three-run lead in the second but gave two runs back in the bottom frame of the inning.
Rice replaced Long Island starter Jason Simontacchi in the bottom of the sixth. His first opponent, Camden first baseman Brett Bonvechio, drilled a long home run to right that started a rally.
Later, with one on, outfielder Chris Walker smashed a home run of his own to left and put the Riversharks up 8-3.
Camden outfielder Ron Davenport added another run in the seventh with an RBI single to second. He had two RBIs on the night.
The series continues tomorrow night at 7:05 p.m. It's Superhero Night in Camden, so fans can expect plenty of heroics. Tickets are on sale at www.riversharks.com or by calling 1-866-SHARKS-9.
