Corpus Christi Sharks News Release

Corpus Christi Sharks Vice President/General Manager Larry Linde that the af2 team has been assigned veteran Kicker Dylan Pohlman.

Pohlman is a graduate of Tabor College in Kansas and hold the majority of Blue Jay kicking records including Career Fields Goals and PAT's and also holds the school record for points in a career (118) and a season (58).

Following college Pohlman kicked for Wichita, Manchester, and Oklahoma City in the af2. Currently, Pohlman sits in 4th place all time in the af2 for successful extra points with 277.

"As we struggle in the kicking game this year, we put a great deal of hope in Pohlman's experience and kickoff ability. He is clearly better off the tee than what we have been playing with and it is our belief that he can help us with his scoring ability in the second half of the season", said Sharks Head Coach Michael Trigg.

Pohlman will see his first action for the Sharks against his former team the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz this Saturday night at the American Bank Center. Saturdays Game is billed as Faith and Football Night. The first 2000 fans through the door receive a free backpack courtesy of America's Ultimate Security. Following the game there will be a free concert by Contemporary Christian Artists "Come December". Tickets are available at all Ticketmaster locations, Ticketmaster.com, the American Bank Center box office, or by calling the Sharks at 882-9292.
