Chicago Shamrox News Release

Philadelphia, Pa. - The Philadelphia Wings scored on a Kyle Fiak goal with just :40 left in the game to complete a five-goal, fourth quarter comeback over the Chicago Shamrox. The win drops the Shamrox to 3-8 and two games behind the Wings for the fourth and final playoff spot.

The Shamrox were hot early, leading 9-4 at the half. Shamrox rookie Bill McGlone, a Philadelphia native, scored two of his three goals in the first half leading the offensive charge for the Shamrox. McGlone, who donated his game check to the Headstrong Foundation in honor of his friend Nick Colleluori, who passed away from Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma last year, scored his third goal of the game late in the third to give the Shamrox an 11-7 lead.

They would not score again.

The Wings ripped off the final six goals of the game, including two on the power play from Sean Greenhalgh, to complete the second-half comeback. Shamrox goaltender Brandon Miller made 40 saves on 52 shots on the night.
