The 56th FSL All-Star Game will be played at Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium, the home of the Lakeland Flying Tigers, on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 7:00 p.m.
INF/OF Jorge Mateo, OF Tito Polo and RHPs Zack Littell, Dillon McNamara and Jose Mesa will represent the T-Yanks. LHP Josh Rogers and RHP Cody Carroll were originally named All-Stars, but were replaced by Littell and Mesa after earning promotions to Double-A Trenton.
INF/OF Jorge Mateo returns for his second consecutive FSL All-Star Game after representing the T-Yanks in 2016. The 21-year-old entered Thurday batting .250 (50-for-200) with 13 doubles, six triples, 3HR, 8RBI and 18SB. Mateo is tied for first in the league in triples and tied for second in stolen bases. The Yankees signed the Dominican Republic native as a non-drafted free agent in 2010.
OF Tito Polo will make his second-straight All-Star team after being named a Mid-Season All-Star while with Single-A West Virginia in the South Atlantic League last season. The 22-year-old entered Thursday batting .255 (39-for-153) with five doubles, three triples, 2HR, 9RBI and 12SB. The Yankees acquired Polo in 2016 as part of the trade that sent RHP Ivan Nova to the Pittsburgh Pirates.
LHP Josh Rogers earned "FSL Pitcher of the Week" honors after making a quality start (7.0IP, 3H, 1R/0ER, 1BB, 8K) in a win vs. the Daytona Tortugas on April 29th. The 22-year-old made eight starts for the T-Yanks, recording a 4-3 record with a 2.22 ERA (52.2IP, 45H, 16R/13ER, 8BB, 51K) before earning a promotion on May 26th.
