LUBBOCK, TX: October 2, 2007 - SportsRadio 1340 AM (KKAM) and the arenafootball2's Lubbock Renegades have teamed together this season to present a weekly award recognizing a local South Plains high school football athlete for their performance on the gridiron, and the Week 4 "High School Renegade of the Week" goes to Lubbock Christian High School's Seth Eaton.
Eaton, a 5'9" 165-pound junior running back, scored all four of Lubbock Christian High School's touchdowns in a 28-21 win over O'Donnell. The decisive marker was a 73-yard touchdown reception by Eaton with 2:48 remaining. Eaton finished with two rushing touchdowns (3,13) and a pair of receiving touchdowns (8,73), as he had three receptions for 100 yards. The performance was his second four-touchdown game of the season. He rushed for 203 yards and had four scores in the Eagles season-opening win over Smyer. On the season, Eaton has produced 13 touchdowns and 824 yards of total offense, as he has 691 rushing yards on 83 attempts and 12 receptions for 183 yards. LCHS improved to 4-1 with the win and they have a bye week this week before beginning district action on October 12th at Fort Worth Temple Christian.
Renegades Head Coach Rodney Blackshear will present LCHS a plaque in Eaton's name for his accomplishments at a time decided upon by the LCHS athletic department. All High School Renegade of the Week recipients will be recognized by the Renegades during halftime of one of their 2008 home games at City Bank Coliseum. Eaton joins previous winners, Chris Davis of Brownfield (Wk0), Aarrhon Flores of Floydada (Wk1), Garrett Riley of Muleshoe (Wk2) and Lubbock Coronado's Austin Zouzalik (Wk3) as this season's recipients thus far.
