JOLIET, IL â The Joliet JackHammers game times are set for the 2005 season. Their fourth season begins at 7:05 pm on Friday, May 20 versus the Gary (IN) SouthShore RailCats at Silver Cross Field in Joliet's City Center. This will be the fourth consecutive season the JackHammers will begin the regular season at home.
There are 48 JackHammers home games as well as the Budweiser I-55 Classic, an exhibition baseball game featuring former St. Louis Cardinals versus former Chicago Cubs. In 2005, Monday home games and Wednesday through Saturday home games will feature a 7:05 pm first pitch. The first pitch for Tuesday home games will be 6:05 pm because Tuesday will be Family Night as the kids will run the bases after the game.
More than 4,000 votes were cast on a JackHammers website poll to determine Sunday home game times. The tallied votes were so evenly matched amongst those who preferred day to evening games. Thus, we have accommodated both opinions. The following Sunday game times will be a 2:05 pm start: May 22, June 5, June 26 and July 24. The following Sunday game times will be a 5:05 pm start: June 19, July 10, August 7 and August 14. JackHammers game dates, times and promotions are subject to change.
The gates to Silver Cross Field open one hour before game time. The exceptions for the gates opening include Thursday home games when they open an hour and a half before game time so fans can enjoy the live musical entertainment at the Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana Chevy Dealers Rooftop in left field (details coming soon). Also, full season ticket holders have a special V.I.P. entrance at the South Gate beginning with entry at one hour and 15 minutes before each game.
Currently, the JackHammers have full season tickets and group packages available for purchase. There is a long list of benefits to being a full season ticket holder, and they are all listed on the team's website. The group packages includes special deals for 20 or more people, luxury suites, DesRochers Backyard Pool Party Deck (hot tub), Dairy Queen Birthday Bash, Fun-raising, Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana Chevy Dealers Rooftop, Dream Team and pre-game picnics. Mini-plan ticket packages and individual game tickets will be available at later dates.
