JAMESTOWN, NY -Things didn't start off as planned for the Jamestown Jammers in 2014. Several tough losses put the Jammers in a 3-8 hole heading into a daunting 6-game road trip in State College (2 games), and Mahoning Valley (4 games). However, the Jammers responded in impressive fashion, and swept the State College Spikes, and took 3 out of 4 against the Mahoning Valley Scrappers. The team now sits at 8-9 on the season.
Jamestown now returns home to face off against the Williamsport Crosscutters in a 3-game series at Diethrick Park. Tuesday, will be the Jammers first $1.50 night of the season. General admission tickets, hot dogs, soda, and beer will be available for the low price of $1.50. Wednesday, the Jammers will help celebrate Chautauqua Striders 35th anniversary. Finally, Jammers fans can start their 4th of July a night early Thursday the 3rd, when the Jammers team up with Jamestown Mattress to put on a spectacular fireworks display after the game.

Tuesday July 1st: RHP Preston Packrall (Williamsport, 0-0, 7.71 ERA) vs. RHP Tyler Eppler (Jamestown, 0-0, 2.25 ERA)
Preston Packrall: Has made three appearances for the Crosscutters so far this season (1 start). In seven innings, Packrall has given up seven hits, struck out seven batters, and has an ERA of 7.71. He was a 24 th round pick in this year's Draft out of the University of Tampa.
Tyler Eppler: Has made three starts for the Jammers so far in 2014. In 12 innings, Eppler has given up only six hits, has struck out five, has yet to factor in a decision, and has an ERA of 2.25. He was a 6 th round pick in the 2014 Draft out of Sam Houston St.
Wednesday July 2nd: RHP David Whitehead (Williamsport, 1-1, 1.93 ERA) vs. RHP Alex McRae (Jamestown, 0-0, 1.59 ERA)
David Whitehead: In three starts for the Crosscutters in 2014, Whitehead has thrown 18 2/3 innings, given up 13 hits, struck out 10 batters, has a 1-1 record, and an ERA of 1.93. He was a 34 th round pick in the 2013 Draft, and did not play at all in 2013 due to injury.
Alex McRae: In three starts for the Jammers in 2014, McRae has thrown 11 1/3 innings, given up eight hits, two earned runs, no walks, has struck out eight batters, and has an ERA of 1.59. McRae was a 10 th round pick in the 2014 Draft out of the University of Jacksonville.
Thursday July 3rd: RHP Feliberto Sanchez (Williamsport, 0-3, 9.00 ERA) vs. RHP Montana DuRapau (Jamestown, 0-0, 1.80 ERA)
Feliberto Sanchez: Sanchez has made three starts for Williamsport in 2014. In 11 innings, he has given up 20 hits, has struck out four batters, has a record of 0-3, and has an ERA of 9.00. He was signed by the Philadelphia Phillies as an international free agent in 2011.
Montana DuRapau: DuRapau has made four appearances for Jamestown in 2014 (1 start). In 10 innings, he has surrendered six hits, struck out 12 batters, has not factored in a decision, and has an ERA of 1.80.
