Senators Reduce Training Camp Roster by Six Players

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 20, 2011) - The Ottawa Senators announced today they have reduced their training camp roster by six players, re-assigning defenceman Jordan Fransoo and forwards Jakub Culek, Stefan Noesen, Matt Puempel and Mark Stone to their junior teams. Goaltender Matej Machovsky has also been released from his amateur tryout.

Culek will return to the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League's Rimouski Oceanic, while Fransoo and Stone will join the Western Hockey League's Brandon Wheat Kings. Noesen and Puempel return to their Ontario Hockey League clubs in Plymouth and Peterborough, respectively.

The Senators training camp roster is now comprised of 53 players: five goaltenders, 15 defencemen and 33 forwards.
